The Great Green Giveaway

As an environmentally conscious company, we believe in giving something back to the community. Recently we launched our 'Grimple's Green Grants' scheme to do just that. We set aside a pot of £20,000 to give away to local green projects across the UK.

We asked for applicants in the press, on our website and via email, only to be overwhelmed by the fantastic quality and volume of response we received. Over 300 applications were received in just over three weeks.

Due to the phenomenal popularity of the scheme, as well as the inspiring nature of the applications, we decided to increase the pot of money we were giving away by over 50%.

We were delighted with the response, and felt that it would only be right to do what we could to help out these fantastic green causes.

In total, we've given grants to 19 projects from as far north as Aberdeenshire, all the way down to London. Everything from car sharing schemes, to organic fruit projects and even the odd animal protection and awareness group have benefited from our first annual Green Grants scheme.

At The Green Insurance Company we pride ourselves on being dedicated to financially aiding environmental projects up and down the country. Our Green Giving scheme is just one example; elsewhere we part funded and continue to help run the 'eco-schools' project, and many more as we look to give away upwards of £80,000 this year.
