Thomas Johnstone Ltd previously sent out all their tender enquiries to sub-contractors on personalised CDs. Not only did these CDs take a long time to produce, with the subsequent postage costs each enquiry was expensive and took several days to reach their sub-contractors. And this was only at the pitching stage for each project.

A single tender could cost several hundreds of pounds just to collate sub-contractor costs.

In February of 2012, Thomas Johnstone launched a new online tender management system. This allows estimating staff at Thomas Johnstone to set up tender enquries online, post out e-mails to selected sub-contractors, and receive returned costings all in the same system.

Now, a project for pricing can be received in the morning, the sub-contractors have their copies of the project specifications by lunchtime, and prices returned to the client by close of play.

Frecosse used the development of this site to build and test new security features as well as all-new e-mail notification system, which will be included in the new version of our Content Management System scheduled for launch at end of September 2012.

We are currently working on more internal systems for Thomas Johnstone Ltd, now that this system has proven cost-effective and more efficient than previous procedures.
