Training

Training

Whenever we build a web-based solution, we always offer some inclusive training to the core team responsible for adding new content to the system as part of the hand-over/launch process.

However, some of our clients have more specific training requirements, and we're always happy to look at tailoring a course to help staff develop their core skills.

Some of our previous courses are outlined below.

If you are interested in working with Frecosse Website Design to deliver training to your staff, please get in touch for a no-obligation chat about your requirements.

Website Content Accessibility

Once we've delivered your fully accessible website, you'll want to add new content on a regular basis to increase your traffic and potential for selling your products/services.

However, the moment we hand over the reigns, you can quickly run into problems with accessibility when adding new content. Will your staff know how to add descriptive “alt” text to images? Will they know when to use the “abbr” or “longdesc” tags?

Our full-day course for up to five people, covers:

  • An introduction to website accessibility
  • Overview of different types of website accessibility requirements
  • How to prepare accessible content for the web
  • Break for Lunch
  • How to edit content on the web and keep it accessible
  • Examples of accessibility quirks
  • Questions and Answers session

Our training materials include fully-worked examples, and links to useful reference websites to keep abreast of changes to the standards.

Document Accessibility

As well as ensuring your website content is fully accessible, any documents that you make available for visitors to download should also be accessible.
